Kenneth W.'s Story
I'm the ultra-shy, very tall Kenny [W] Godwin, who ran x-country (poorly) for Coach Benny Arnold, took Physics from Dorothy Thomas, Spanish from Mrs Rivera and Mr Wilkerson, and had a crush on English teacher Virginia Dorgan, carried books home in a dorky satchel that I still can’t bear to part with, and shared home-room with band-member Ken [E] Godwin, suave Bonney Godwin, the lovely Dena Godwin, and the ever-admirable Molly Goodwin. I was a charter alumnus of FJC, and many years later, with tuition aid from Southern Bell, received my BA from Nova SE University. budgets for those networks and all the services that they carried. 20 of those years were in Atlanta where I was also a BSA ASM for 10. I've been married 43 years to Carolyn, whom I met at Century 21 Appartments (the girl next door) while still a reservist with the USMCR. We have a son and a daughter, and a 2-yo grand daughter. Presently my passion is songbird conservation so I’ve built hundreds (thousands?) of bluebird nest boxes and deployed them all over Duval as well as North Atlanta, and monitor many of them each season (visit Nestwatch.org).
